What is the difference between Yoga and Pilates?
Yoga and Pilates are both excellent practices for enhancing physical and mental well-being, but they differ in their approaches and focuses.

Yoga is a practice that emphasises connecting the mind, body, and spirit. It often involves a series of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. Yoga aims to improve flexibility, strength, and balance, while also promoting relaxation and stress relief.

Pilates on the other hand, is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving posture, and enhancing overall body awareness. Pilates helps improve strength, coordination, and muscular endurance, with a particular emphasis on core strength.

In summary, while both Yoga and Pilates offer numerous benefits for the body and mind, Yoga focuses more on wholistic well-being and connecting with oneself, while Pilates is more focused on physical conditioning and core strength.

How long are the sessions?
All sessions are 45 minutes unless stated otherwise. We strive to provide a comprehensive and efficient wellness experience within this timeframe. If there are any variations in duration for specific sessions, it will be clearly communicated.
How do I book in sessions?
To book your classes, we utilise an online booking system called "Acuity." You can download the app for easy access, and all necessary information will be provided in a welcome email sent to you upon registration. Simply follow the instructions to book your preferred classes hassle-free.
Do I need to arrive early to class?
Yes, it is advisable to arrive a few minutes early. Most clients prefer to enter the studio promptly, find their mat, and begin their practice. If you wish to have a quick chat or catch up with someone, we recommend doing so before entering the actual studio. Once inside, kindly regard it as a space for quiet reflection. Phones should be turned off on entering the studio.
What if I am late to class?
To ensure the safety of everyone's belongings, the entrance door will be locked 5 minutes after the class begins. Therefore, it's essential to arrive before the scheduled class commencement time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Pregnancy?
Congratulations on this exciting journey! If you are pregnant, please inform your instructor as soon as possible. We have instructors trained in pre and postnatal yoga who are happy to guide you through any necessary modifications for your practice. It's important to discuss your pregnancy with your doctor so they are aware you'll be engaging in exercise during this time. Your well-being is our priority, and we're here to support you on this special journey.
What if I can not make a session?
We understand that plans can change. You are welcome to cancel any studio sessions up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. In consideration of our capped classes, we encourage all clients to remove their names from a class if they know they cannot attend. Please note that no-shows who do not cancel may risk losing their priority booking status. Your cooperation ensures that all members can enjoy a fair opportunity to attend our classes.
What if I have an injury or unusual pain?
We encourage you all to prioritise their well-being. Please inform the instructor of any current injuries before class. If you experience unusual pain during the session, kindly pause and transition into a pose that accommodates your body.  For those with chronic injuries, recent injuries, or who have undergone surgery, we strongly advise consulting with your doctor or clinician before commencing your practice. Your health and safety are our top priorities.
What facilities are available at the studio?
The studio provides pigeon holes at the entrance for your belongings, toilets, and change rooms for your convenience. Additionally, a light essential oil scent is diffused throughout the studio to enhance your experience. Please be aware that there are no shower facilities available.
Is there a front office?
No, the studio does not have a front office. It is open only during scheduled classes. The most effective way to contact us is through our email. We strive to respond promptly and address any inquiries or concerns you may have.
Membership Pause Policy?
We do not offer the option to pause memberships. However, if you plan to be away for an extended period or your financial circumstances have changed, you can choose to cancel your membership payments. Feel free to sign up again when you're ready to resume your practice with us.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No need! Our studio is fully equipped with mats, bolsters, blankets, and blocks to enhance your practice. However, feel free to bring your own gear if you prefer a personal touch or have specific preferences. We strive to create a comfortable and accommodating environment for your experience.
Is the studio open on Public Holidays?
The studio is closed on Public Holidays.
Is the Studio shut over the Christmas Break?
Yes, the studio is closed from the Wednesday before Christmas and reopens on the second Monday of January. The break has been factored into our monthly membership rate. The downtime is deducted over the average of the 12 months. As a result, memberships are not paused, canceled, or otherwise amended during this period unless extenuating circumstances are present.
